Shotton came back from the Easter break in decent form against Hollywell today. Shotton started well and were confident on the ball. Goals from Andy Jones and Lewis Wright gave Shotton a deserved lead early in the first half but Hollywell were thrown a lifeline when the referee awarded them a penalty for a challenge that appeared to be made outside the box. Hollywell converted the penalty and Shotton went into the break with a one goal lead.
Shotton wasted countless chances to kill the game off but couldn't seem to find the back of the net.
Andy Jones finally scored Shottons third with 10 minutes remaining and completed his hat trick only minutes later. Will Leonard completed the route with a sensational chip over the Hollywell keeper.
A good 3 points for Shotton but they never really got out of second gear. George Rathbone was nominated Man of the Match.
